Similarly many scenes in this movie are still fresh in my mind. I can still distinctly remember Prakash (Nagarjuna), Geethanjali (Girija), Geethanjali's father (Vijay Kumar), Geethanjali's grandmother (Radha Bai) and Geethanjali's sisters. According to me one can judge the success of a movie, not by its collections, but by how well its characters are remembered. Geetanjali remains Mani Ratnam's only direct film in telugu despite being a commercial success. Hence, I would like to start blogging with my views on this film. Geetanjali ( *ing Nagarjuna, Girija) has always held a special place in my heart. Finally, he suggests that I should choose UP over AP (that is if the option exists) as more money can be made there. I am being anything but diplomatic in naming him in this post and I am sure I won't regret doing so. Being diplomatic is a prerequisite for being a civil servant, he says. I seriously wonder how well he is being treated in an inconsequential position in an organization doing back-end work for some other nation. He feels that being an IPS officer if equivalent to being a dog in the hands of its master. He presupposed that the sole motive of all aspirants is to earn money by wrongful means. He knew that I was preparing for the civil services examination. He is considering enterpreneurship (please do not mind the mistake in the spelling as that's how he pronounced it), an MBA from a foreign university and last but not the least a career in civil services. The guy has been working for a corporate company for a year now and is supposedly weighing his future options. The meeting turned out to be disgusting, at best. Yesterday, I happened to meet an acquaintance of mine, YV.
